SOUTH AFRICA / INDEPENDENT VISITOR GUIDE

The technology history behind this domain.

A sourced account of the former website and the Vula group’s lottery communications work.

The original technology business

The domain was used by Vula Telematix, a South African IoT and machine-to-machine network business in the Vula Investments group. Ingenu’s September 2016 announcement identified the domain and described a Machine Network rollout in the Western Cape, including Drakenstein Municipality in Paarl.

National lottery infrastructure

Ingenu’s release described the parent group’s experience providing connectivity for the Uthingo lottery network. A TechCentral interview published on 12 April 2017 also described the group’s experience with infrastructure supporting national lottery terminals. These are historical statements about the Vula group; they do not mean this independent guide built or operates a lottery network.

Regional starting point

Historical social profiles place Vula Telematix in Johannesburg. That provides the geographical starting point for our Gauteng visitor coverage. The old network projects also connected its story with Pretoria, Cape Town and Paarl.

New editorial ownership and purpose

This website is now an independent directory. It does not represent Vula Telematix, Vula Investments, Ingenu or a national lottery operator. Historical company details are retained only as a sourced account of the domain’s former subject.
